Joey Holmesmeyer

Joey, the founder of Small Business Intelligence, is an accomplished analytics leader known for his transformative work with household brands such as Nike, Wayfair, Google, Boeing, and General Mills. His passion for data-driven solutions and his rich experience in diverse industries make him an invaluable resource for businesses looking to leverage the power of data.

In his previous role at Slalom Consulting, Joey streamlined analytics workflows and led teams through complex data migrations, significantly improving efficiency. As the Merchandising Analytics Manager at Wayfair, he pioneered the company's migration to Google BigQuery, leading to the creation of numerous self-service reporting suites and expanding their cloud-based analytics user base substantially.

Before founding Small Business Intelligence, Joey made a significant impact at Nike, where he launched their first advanced analytics supply chain capability. His innovative strategies and solutions resulted in substantial procurement savings and led to the first implementation of cloud-based analytics for Nike's Global Procurement function. Joey's technical expertise, coupled with his passion for helping small businesses thrive, is the driving force behind Small Business Intelligence's mission.

Gustavo Castillo

Our Practice Lead for Digital Transformation brings a wealth of experience across a litany of industries to Small Business Intelligence. With his unique blend of technical and business acumen, he is able to bridge the gap between complex data and strategic decision-making, making him a key player in our team.

Previously at Motional, Gus served as a Senior Partner Program Manager, overseeing the Uber program. Prior to that, he was a Graduate Research Fellow at NextEra Energy, Inc., where he focused on bidirectional charging. Gus also holds entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded Taxie, a mobility-focused startup.

Before joining Small Business Intelligence, Gus held multiple roles at General Motors, including Autonomous Vehicle Calibration Engineer and TRACK Engineer. His time at Tesla as a Product Specialist further solidified his expertise in the electric vehicle industry. Gus holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering. His diverse experience and keen understanding of data-driven solutions make him a valuable asset to our team and clients.

Austin Moore

Austin Moore, a seasoned expert in business strategy and team management, is our Principal Consultant at Small Business Intelligence. He has a knack for crafting efficient and powerful solutions, leading to the short-term and long-term growth of our partners. Austin’s keen eye for strategic resource design ensures that our partners’ businesses flourish.

Austin presently also serves as the Principal Consultant at Revive Business Solutions, where he helps companies enhance their bottom lines and cultures through productive operations and management strategies. In addition, he founded Product Prints, a company that provides full-service product development engineering support for physical goods.

He spent more than three years at General Motors, during which he held multiple roles including being recruited to the GM Engineering Leadership Program.

Austin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. His proven track record and commitment to efficient management and cost savings make him a valuable asset to our team and our clients.

Marino Duran

Our Director of Cloud Engineering is an expert in Google Cloud Engineering and even better at explaining complex topics to lay people. Highly experienced in delivering top-tier technical solutions, Marino's proficiency extends from handling intricate system anomalies to executing complex design analyses.

With a foundation in cloud engineering, Marino has notably contributed to General Motors as an Embedded Systems Controller Integration Engineer. In this role, he demonstrated his knack for detailed examination of automotive embedded controller electrical hardware designs, ensuring robustness and efficiency.

Marino is applied his deep understanding of cloud solutions at Ping Identity as a Senior Cloud Identity Engineer, where he made significant contributions. His exceptional ability to build and maintain client relationships, coupled with his technical prowess, makes Marino a formidable professional in the tech industry.
